The national curriculum requires that the following subjects be taught to all children at primary school:

*At Dunham hill school the children participate in a daily literacy hour during which they are taught aspects of reading, writing and spelling. We also offer our year 5 and 6 children an after school English club which gives our older pupils the opportunity to extend their skills in English. Each day all pupils have a lesson in numeracy and children at year 6 may attend our after school mathematics club.
